Who are we?
Beyond Color is a group of Black, Indigenous & POC LGBTQIA+ identifying persons with experiences of Racism, Discrimination and migration background in Munich.
This group hopes to reconstruct the queer scene in Europe to one of consciousness and inclusivity for Black, Indigenous and POC persons and their experiences. We educate the public and create spaces for our community. We are working towards a decolonized Europe.
Beyond Color is engaged in anti discrimination, anti violence and empowerment work for LGBTQIA+ persons with a history of migration, racism and all forms of discrimination.
How are we doing this?
We hold workshops, talks and lectures, organize parties, performances, demonstrations and conventions in Europe.
What does 'Black & POC LGBTQIA+' mean?
Beyond Color is organized by people who self identify as both LGBTQIA+ and Black, Indigenous or POC. Queers, Intersex, Bisexual, Pansexual, Transgender, Transexual, Lesbian, Gay, Dykes, Kuchus, Faggots, Gender queer, non-binary, Gender variant or non conforming, Femme, Butch, Asexual, Demisexual or Grey sexual, Two spirit, Undefined, Questioning and those who are descendant from anywhere in Africa, Asia, the middle east, indigenous people of Australasia, the Americas, the Carribean, Indian Pacific, Roma, Sinti and people of mixed ancestry/origin.
This doesn't include either descendants of Europeans who migrated to Africa, Asia or the Americas for occupational/colonial reasons or white European migrants.
Our group includes people with varied ancestry, origins, ethnicity and sexual-gender identities.
This definition of POC is based on experiences and reflects our realities in an European context.

Beyond Color engagiert sich in Anti-Diskriminierungs-, Anti-Gewalt- und Empowerment-Arbeit für LGBTQIA+ Personen mit einer Geschichte von Migration, Rassismus und allen Formen von Diskriminierung.
